Meet Our CEO
Reneé A. Hall, a native New Yorker was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her artistry began as a little girl, styling dolls and sitting out on the stoop in East Flatbush, doing hair in the neighborhood. As a teenager, she worked with master braider, Tulani Kinard. It was under Tulani’s teaching she began to see the gift of hair artisity she had been given.
She established her first salon Mo’ Betta Braids, which had a clientele of just word of mouth for 10 years. Reneé inspired many as she participated in career days, taught at Mdgar Evers College and showcased her talent as a platform stylist. She was featured in the book, “One hundred Jobs”, A Panorama of Work in the American City. Her work was also displayed at a very young age, on the cover of a hair magazine in 1988. Her work continues to be published in different media to this day.
In 2000, Reneé left N.Y. and moved to Maryland. Essentials Beauty Spa, was opened for 9 years in Laurel, Md. She continued to inspire many by participating in trade shows and speaking at several encagements, working in trade shows. Her biggest blessing was a mission trip to S. Africa shere she would bless many little girl’s crowns’ in orphanges and schools.
In 2012, Natural Trendzetter was birthed and remained opened till 2025; where God birthed a new vision - No Lye Lifestyle®. No Lye Lifestyle® replaced Natural Trendzetter, LLC and still reflects the commitment to natural hair care empowerment, and community. The mission: to provide expert styling, education and business growth opportunities for both clients and stylists. Brwists® a microloc enhancement technique, Gelané®, a hair care product line and Natural Trendz Education was also birthed.
Reneé is known for her expeditious speed and is passionate about creativity on the crown. With over 35 years in the hair industry, she strives to open doors for many young aspiring entrepreneurs. Reneé has a passion to please God, for she truly believes in Him, and with that, her success and blessings are owed to Him. She is a true testament of faith, a word she has tattooed on her foot – simply because she walks by faith and not by sight.
